What to Expect
Before placing the crown, a consultation is done to check the tooth that’ll be receiving the crown. An X-ray will also be taken of the tooth and the bone around it.
Usually, after cleaning the carries or doing root canal treatment the dentist will take the decision to cover the tooth by crowns. if the remained clean dental tissues is weak and filling is not enough.
Next, your tooth will be prepared to a smaller size depending on the type of crown you’ll be getting. Silicon will be used to make impressions of your teeth and to assess how the crown will fit into your bite.
Once that’s done, your crown will be placed on top of your tooth.
