Prior to your whitening, you should consult your dentist for a full cleaning.

At your whitening appointment, our professional dentists will examine your mouth thoroughly to make sure your teeth are clean and ready to be whitened. Our dentist will then use a lip retractor, a modern tool to keep your mouth open during the procedure while at the same time allowing you to relax your jaw muscles.

Your dentist will then use a rubber dam to protect your gums from any sensitivities to the gel, and will wipe your lips and inner cheeks with protective gel.

Then, your dentist will begin the whitening by using a more effective whitening gel that’s only suitable to be used by a professional. Once the gel is placed, your dentist will use light or laser to activate the whitening gel for approximately 20 minutes.
