Before & After
Hair grows in cycles. Since various hairs will enter their growth cycle at different times, about 6-8 treatments at intervals of 4-12 weeks are necessary to disable most of the follicles in a given area.
Since the laser technology works by targeting dark pigment, it is most effective on pale skin and dark coarse hair. The lighter the skin and the darker the hair, the better are the results.
Since lasers target pigment, treatments are most effective on coarse hair because it has a lot of pigment and can absorb a lot of heat. Fine hair cannot absorb much heat requiring special treatment parameters to be reduced.
With proper treatment, lasers can remove the majority of the coarse hair on a body area, but fine hair removal is only possible using special treatment parameters.
Generally, a patient can tell how much reduction was achieved from a course of treatments after waiting 6-12 months following their last treatment. Any hair that grows after the 12-month period is new hair that the body can develop due to numerous factors such as age, diet, hormonal changes. Patients who experience new growth at a later stage can get touch-up treatments.
• Redness for up to 3 days
• Swelling around mouth of follicle for up to 3 days
• Tingling or feeling of numbness
DisclaimerEvery patient is a unique individual and every treatment has unique aspects. Therefore, no two cosmetic procedures will get the exact same results — even if patients are similar and if the procedures are performed by the same doctor.
Before undergoing a cosmetic procedure, please be sure to have an individual one-on-one consultation with a qualified doctor.
